Does anyone actually use legacy southpaw

There is literally no way that I could ever get used to that control scheme. I've played that ever since I started gaming. It's just something you get used to. The controller is set up to be used the default way, so that would make it ever harder. But that's just a personal opinion. It does seem like it should be simple to include other controller variations in the game options. You'd think something like that would become an expected industry standard. By the way, am I the only weirdo that uses his index finger to hit the A, B, X, and Y buttons so that I can keep my thumbs on both sticks at all times?

I should check that out. Would you recommend it? Shoe shot. A southpaw boxer by Halo 3 should have happened for the buttons You're probably right. Well im going to say it wouldnt be much more work to make a system similar to one found on the pc.

The way it should work is you move the cursor to an edit button and the select the action you want to change. Then you hit the button you want to replace it with. So in effect you are changing things similar to how keys are changed in HCE for the pc.

Would that have been so hard to do that they wouldnt have been able to release the game on time? I would say not but apparently they barely finished the game before the deadline so who knows. Of course my abilities to code are basic not the language so it might have made bugs else if they for some reason did a horrible job of it. I'll have to take your word on that. But would it have been that much more work to swap "Throw Grenade" with "Jump" or something like that?

It would have required more work on their part. I don't know why they won't just let us customize our controls. It would make things so much easier for everyone. This is why I didn't use southpaw sticks.

I'm a lefty by birth, and I only use southpaw buttons. A southpaw boxer would be ideal, but whatever. As for Legacy, I don't even want to know how that works. I am over the age of AGE. Permanent Ban. This site uses cookies to provide you with the best possible user experience.

Legacy seems to work better for movement, but aim gets thrown slightly off. Default is better for aiming, but movement suffers slightly. Southpaw doesn't really effect anything, it just takes a minute to realize the change.

The time it takes to get the feel for the controls after you change them makes changing them often highly impractical, unless you want to be good with more than one setting. As a result, I can use all those settings at least semi effectively. To answer the question of why, there is a simple answer. User Info: MegaTape One of the guys across the hall from me plays with Legacy Southpaw. He said his friend who he first played halo with changed the controls and told him those were the default.

He just learned that way. Oh the movie never ends User Info: LordSeifer. I can't play the game at all with it normal. None of my friends can understand how I play like that. Personally, I don't see how they play with it normal. I blame starfox More topics from this board What is the difference between Halo 3 and Halo 3 odst?
