How many bosses in okami

However, their defeat transforms their remains into the Fox Rods , leading directly into the combat with Evil Rao. As such, they may represent the converse of the battle with Oki: a separate first-round battle with Evil Rao in her vulpine form s , shortly before facing her sword-wielding humanoid form.

Like the other canine bosses, they have a powerful lunging attack. Their other attacks include launching globes of foxfire through the air, and draining Amaterasu's ink. Ninetails is the final boss of the second major arc of the game. Its dungeon is Oni Island. The island becomes inaccessible after Ninetails' death, which bestows the third-tier Glaive Blade of Kusanagi. Ninetails later reappears on the Ark of Yamato. Ninetails can switch between the single form of a gigantic multi-tailed fox and the separated forms of nine Rao-like humanoid entities.

As the multi-tailed fox, Ninetails has a powerful full-body lunge and can sink its tails into the ground to spear upward at Amaterasu from a distance. When Amaterasu's brush screen is up, the multi-tailed fox can interfere with her Celestial Brush techniques or even use its own. It is nearly invulnerable, but can be split apart into the humanoids by certain types of attacks: extensive flame damage to its tails, and Thunderstorm to its sword when held aloft.

When split apart, Ninetails turns into multiple Rao-like humanoids. One pseudo-Rao always floats inaccessibly in the air; the others initially eight, one for each extra tail are scattered across the arena floor, each armed with a sword. The death of each pseudo-Rao destroys one of Ninetails' nine tails until only one tail is left, reducing Ninetails to a huge single-tailed fox for the last round of the battle.

It becomes inaccessible after his defeat, which bestows the fifth-tier Glaive Thunder Edge. Fighting him is very similar to fighting the weaker version of Orochi from the first arc of the game, except that each head now requires two draughts of sake for intoxication. On the other side of the Spirit Gate, the third round of the battle involves Nagi instead of Susano; on the Ark of Yamato, no third round is required.

Their dungeon is Wawku Shrine. It remains accessible after their defeat. Their battle is split into two rounds, both with another warrior fighting at Amaterasu's side.

The first round is with Shiranui against Nechku alone; as Shiranui's Celestial Brush Techniques are even more powerful than Amaterasu's, all that Amaterasu really needs to do is stay out of the way and not get hurt. At the end of this round, Lechku helps Nechku escape, but not without losing a small gear which Amaterasu can use as a key to reach a previously-inaccessible part of the shrine.

The second round is with Oki against both owls, who have a range of attacks signaled by objects that appear on top of their heads. Each object can be countered with an appropriate brush technique, temporarily confusing them so Amaterasu can fire Oki like an arrow from a bow.

When struck by Oki, each owl greys out and becomes especially vulnerable for a short period of time. Yami is the final boss of the game. His dungeon is the Ark of Yamato. After his defeat, the game ends. The thing that makes them tricky is their ability to drain Amaterasu's ink supply very quickly. They mainly attack with slashes and bullets, so it is recommended that you keep your distance to focus on damaging a few at a time. An Inkfinfity Stone or two might also come in handy.

Blight is a suit of armor infected by the demonic sword, Goldnail, which is using its power to spread a deadly, poisonous mist all around Sei'an City. It is found within the body of the Emperor and must be defeated in order to rid him and the city of the mist.

Although it is very powerful and is rather creepy, staying one step ahead of this boss is actually rather easy. The mist surrounding it makes it invulnerable to damage, but once it readies its attack, you can use the Veil of Mist technique to knock Goldnail out of the armor's grasp, leaving it vulnerable to attacks for a few seconds.

Simply repeat this until is defeated. It can also conjure a ring of blades, but you simply have to Power Slash the blue one. They must be found across the village and brought to Princess Fuse to dispel the barrier blocking the way to the Gale Shrine, though you will have to fight a few to convince them to return.

There is an optional boss battle against the main Kusa 5 and the three other Canine Warriors scattered throughout the game. Defeating them grants you a Stray Bead from Princess Fuse. The battle occurs in three waves, the first of which pits you against four Canine Warriors who can use the Satomi Power Orbs to temporarily makes themselves invincible and deal large damage; the second pits you against Gi, Jin, and Chu, who can dig holes that trap Amaterasu, and set off explosions with the Brown Rage technique; and finally Tei, the leader of the Canine Warriors who is much faster and stronger than the rest.

Stay on your toes and try to use your attacks from a distance to take them down one at a time, and you should be golden. The Gold Demon Lechku and the Silver Demon Nechku are twin demons who slaughtered the Oina Tribe and serve as the final boss battle of the game's third major story arc, which takes place in Kamui.

Amaterasu has to team up with Oki against both demons, a battle that can easily be conquered through focus and timing. Both Lechku and Nechku attack by summoning and firing objects from their hats, picking you up and throwing you to the ground, as well as using their ability to slow time. They are completely invincible until they are dropped to the ground, which can only be done by hitting the object from their hats with the appropriate Brush Technique, and firing Oki at them with the bow.

It should also be noted that the only Brush Techniques that can damage them are the ones that actually knocked them down. You need to draw its constellation in the sky at the end of the dungeon to begin the battle in a false heavenly realm. Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Change language. Install Steam. This item has been added to your Favorites. Created by. ArtificialRaven Offline. Category: Achievements , Characters , Walkthroughs. Languages: English. Guide Index. The purpose of this guide is to help you defeat any boss that's giving you a tough time. I've played through Okami multiple times on Playstation 2 and honestly it's one of my favorite games of all time. This guide uses videos that I recorded and uploaded back in Though it's old quality the strategies have not changed.

This does not cover boss fights such as the Kusa 5, for example. But it does cover the ones important to progressing the main plot. The first real boss of the game, Tao Master Waka. This strategy is based on using Amaterasu's Divine Retribution as a main weapon and Devout Beads as the secondary. Try to stay on the center Island and try dodge or sidestep if you learned it Waka's sword attacks. Sometimes when he's slashing at you with a combo, he'll lose color at which time you can Power Slash him with your brush.

I found out that keeping a good distance away will make Waka throw daggers, which you should Power Slash back at him to knock him down. When he's knocked down provided he isn't in the water you can get in a combo or a Power Slash. If he's knocked out in the water, just Power Slash him with the brush.

Keep repeating this strategy and it should be over quickly. The second Major boss of the game, The Spider Queen. Basically what you'll want to do is just keep running around her until you get a good view of the hooks on her ass, then draw a line from a flower bloom to the hook of your choice. You only need to snag 2 hooks with your Vine brush technique but you need to do it in quick succession.

After that she'll open up her thorax and you can smash up the eyeballs that are inside but when she starts to shake, that means you better get the hell away and get ready to start the process over again. Once in a while this beehive looking thing a cocoon perhaps? Once all the eyeballs have been popped, a winner is you!

For the 3rd boss it's Tao Master Waka again. This strategy is based on using Amaterasu's Snarling Beast as a main weapon and Devout Beads as the secondary. The terrain has changed for this fight so you don't have to worry about falling into any water. The same strategy for beating him the first time can be used here with a couple exceptions.

One exception is that he has a new attack where he spins around like a drill and chases you around the battlefield for a few seconds. You can evade that by sidestepping or jumping over him, he didn't do it in this video but I've seen him use it during my first try prior to recording this one. The last exception is that Waka has ALOT more life in this fight so you may find yourself running out of ink, in which case just run around and evade until some is replenished automatically.

The best strategy would be staying as far away as you can and hitting his knife back at him with a Power Slash, then go in for a combo or Power Slash after he's knocked down.

Plus I realized I was screwing up when it came to doing the Power Slash in previous fights. I thought it could be a straight line from any angle but apparently it works best when it's exactly horizontal or slightly tilted.

If not you get stuck doing Bloom brush strokes which doesn't help worth a damn. For the 4th boss it's one of Orochi's minions, Crimson Helm. This strategy is based on using Amaterasu's Infinity Judge as a main weapon and Devout Beads as the secondary. This fight is easier than I thought it was going to be because the Satomi Power Orbs will absorb the first 8 hits of damage.

Thats pretty nice considering you may get hit alot in this fight. Some of his attacks will consist of charging at you, swiping wide with his sword and jumping up and crashing down that creates a shockwave you have to jump over.

Keep away from his front and keep running around until you get a good view of his side or back end, thats when you attack. To beat him, you'll have to keep hitting him until is armor breaks, after that he'll appear as a firey skeleton. To get rid of the fire you'll have to use your Gale brush stroke. After the fire is gone just keep attacking him and eventually he'll get his armor back so you'll have to repeat the process.

Thats the only real trick to beating him. After the fight you'll have to help Susano with some of your fancy brushword and you'll eventually be rewarded with a new rosary, Life Beads. For the 5th boss it's the big demon dragon himself, Orochi.

This strategy is based on using Amaterasu's powered up Infinity Judge as a main weapon and powered up Life Beads as the secondary. As with my other boss videos, my strategy isn't absolute and I wouldn't mind other effective strategies or advice posted as comments I'm splitting this battle into 2 videos because it's really long 10 minute upload limit back in and because Orochi has 2 phases.

This will cover his first phase. Orochi has 8 heads that do different attacks, but I only focused on three of them in this video. I started with the head that appears in from of Ammy and went to the heads on the right. The initial head spits fire dodge the flames , to the right, the head that spits buds The buds will spew a cursed fog if left alone, meaning you won't be able to use your brush for a short time and to the right of that, the head that creates tornados use your Gale brush stroke to overpower the tornado.

In a previous try I noticed that some of the other heads need Power Slashing in order to cancel their attacks. So anyways, each head that's right above Ammy will use said attacks and then roar, while roaring you need to bust out your brush and draw a Waterspout line from the gold pool of sake to the heads' mouth.

When you do that to the same mouth twice, it'll get drunk and get the spins. You only need to sauce up 3 of the heads with sake and then Orochi will take a nap.
