What happens if lydia is killed in skyrim

Epic, humorous, or just plain sad, all her death stories are welcome. For me, she died at Goldenglow Estate during Loud and Clear. Her body fell off the cliff into the lake and was lost forever. I was pretty sure she had died during a fire trap in a dungeon and she wasn't appearing after 2 weeks, so I used the console to respawn her because she was carrying most of my stuff. Then a couple of weeks later, I bumped into her respawned clone in Whiterun. So there were 2 Lydias.
