It's as if that song never existed, and yet I remember it vividly. I listen to this song back in the day when music was awesome. I love this song. Check out " Sadie" by Farmer! Oh yeah, I remember this era of late nineties rock or rock alternative. Matchbox 20 was my favorite. This song kinda sounds like "bent" from Matchbox Damn, what a nostalgic moment I have everytime I hear it. This song reminds me of the last 2 yrs of life before the internet controlled everything we do.
I was in Florida the winter this song was huge. I met these guys after a show. I told them they were going to be huge. I believed it. When I got home to Minnesota I heard the radio station I grew up with announce this song for a debut airing. Call to let us know if you want us to keep playing or never again. At the time I swore they payed a remix. The song I loved sounding all soft and shitty Scored an autographed cd.
The only other band I told would be huge before they were was Papa Roach Yup, been a few years, but hear I am on Xmas morning blasting this song thru my headphones cuz it's that fukn cool of a rock song..

Nice guys actuslly. I got to meet them a few times back in the day. Its where Opie and Anthony got their start until they reported the mayor had died for a joke and got fired. That station had great and memorable DJs back then. Man, seeing that station change in the early s was it for me. By they were playing the same 5 ", rock " songs every hour. No more local artist or unsigned artist.
And to no surprise they since went belly up. Man, I miss the 90s. Saw Mighty Joe Plum in a small rock club called Gasoline Alley in Clearwater Florida in or in front of about a hundred people. They were great and played this song just like it sounded on the album. Yea top air play on the old 98 Rock in Tampa Bay. Thanks for posting the memory. I miss those days! Hell yeah!! I was there! Whenever I was on leave I would travel the music scene between Orlando and the Tampa bay area I still got CDs from some of these bands that I shared the stage with over the years Holy crap, Gasoline Alley!
I haven't thought about that place in years! My mom lived in Clearwater when I was a teenager, and I used to go visit her, and went there a number of times. Really cool that you saw these guys there. I'm from Tampa. Back then the station could decide if it was a good song and start rocking it by getting fan feedback. Now 3 companies own every radio station in the country and its the same shit.
